The findings also show that, the order in which we see things could help the brain calibrate how we perceive time, as well as the objects around us."<br /><br />http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/11/141112161042.htmGrant Soosaluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01926109399246162045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6601498033460501328.post-50371231849535857632013-11-12T11:34:18.368+11:002013-11-12T11:34:18.368+11:00Hey Jean, thanks for your comment. Your husband...Hey Jean, thanks for your comment. Your husband's strategy is a very powerful and useful one. Most people don't think of the true 'costs' when they make a purchasing decision. The costs include the lost opportunity of purchasing something else, the after tax and living expenses cost of earning the money, the amount of time the cost represents to re-earn that disposable income. As a wise person once taught me, "Use money rather than spend it". And you are right, once you pass that 'midlife opportunity' point (I prefer opportunities to crises :-) then you realize how precious time and the experiences you can gain from it truly are.Grant Soosaluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01926109399246162045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6601498033460501328.post-3337083111472308812013-11-12T00:48:07.509+11:002013-11-12T00:48:07.509+11:00Fascinating post, Grant! Here is an example of how my husband connects "time and money:" When making a decision whether to buy something or not, he often will consider how long it took to earn that amount of money or how long it would take someone earning minimum wage to earn it. When one gets to a certain age, one sees how very precious time is!Jean | DelightfulRepast.comhttp://delightfulrepast.comnoreply@blogger.com
