Appreciating the ones you love

The little imperfections that make them perfect...

Hi, a good friend just sent me this wonderful and short vidclip and after watching it a couple of times, I felt it was worth sharing with you. It truly is life enhancing. After a bit of research I found that it comes from a TV Commercial by the Singapore Government 'ThinkFamily' initiative. The vid is moving and heartfelt. It's worth watching. It's all about appreciating the people you love and about "the little imperfections that made them perfect..."

I hope you enjoy it and that it enhances your life right now and reminds you to aim for excellence rather than perfection in how you do loving and relating.

  2. Hi Grant,
Thank you for posting this video.... got me teary for sure! I've always felt the "little things" in life are really the big things.... and people just have it all backwards. :)
I wish there were more ads like this on television. :) Also, your blog is great and I will be sharing it with others.

  3. Thanks Matt and Catherine, I really appreciate your positive comments and support. And yes, wouldn't it be wonderful if television had more generative messages like this ad. I think I'd probably buy a tv then :-D

  5. That is exactly how I feel about my husband's snoring! I always remember a letter to "Dear Abby" I read in the newspaper when I was a teenager. It was from a widow saying how bothered she had always been by her husband's snoring but how she would give anything to hear it again. I've never forgotten that, nor will I ever forget this video. I nearly sobbed audibly at the 1:50 mark when the elderly woman, visibly moved by what had been said, put her head on her husband's shoulder. If only everyone would realize, when they are young, how very short life is.
